What is the Gospel?
The Gospel is the proclamation that Jesus died for all our sins on the cross and rose again in victory so that we might live. Jesus’ death and resurrection are historical events that have eternal impact.

Why are we Lutheran?
What are the Lutheran Confessions?
The Lutheran Confessions are contained in the Book of Concord of 1580. They include the Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds; the Unaltered Augsburg Confession and its Apology (or, Defense); the Smalcald Articles (and the Power and Primacy of the Pope); the Small and Large Catechisms of Dr. Martin Luther, and the Formula of Concord. In holding to these confessions, we are a confessing church.
What does it mean to be a “confessing church”?
To be a confessing church means that we tell people what we believe and who we believe in. We are sure and certain about what we believe, teach, and confess–boldly witnessing Christ to Muncie and the Ball State University community, East Central Indiana, and the world. All we confess is to have Christ at the center and to be solely drawn from the Holy Bible.
