Living To Serve Him

Rev. Daniel P. Mackey, Pastor

Pastor Mackey is the pastor of Grace. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from the University of Arizona, Tucson in 2000. He then graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne with a Master of Divinity and was ordained in 2004. As a pastor, it is his joy to preach and teach, to administer the Sacraments, and to care for God’s people. From June 2004 to April 2011, he served Trinity Lutheran Church in Appleton City, MO. As of May 2011, he has served Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Muncie. He is typically in the office Monday through Thursday, and makes his visitations in the afternoons.

He is married to Brenda and they have two cats, Tika and Girelle. Pastor Mackey enjoys movies, books, and the occasional theological rant over a cup of coffee. He draws a mean stick devil (pitchfork, bifurcated tail and all).

Kelli Bowdell, Pastor’s Secretary

Kelli had been the substitute secretary here at Grace since 2018 and became Pastor’s Secretary in 2020. She served her previous Church when her husband, Matthew, was stationed in Hawaii with the Marine Corps. She is a proud Lutheran and excited to serve here.

Besides her job at Grace, Kelli stays busy with her two wild and rambunctious boys, Lawrence and John, one growing and developing toddler girl, Carol, and one baby due in December of this year, temporarily named “Jellybean”. She enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, playing cards, and games.
